The Florida Crackers chapter of the Florida Trail Association is based in Gainesville, FL and meets on the third Thursday of each month (except July and August) at 6:30 PM at Brasington’s Adventure Outfitters, 2331 NW 13th Street, Gainesville.

Chapter meetings are open to all and include educational presentations on outdoor recreation and environmental issues in our region. Please join us!

Our chapter is part of the statewide Florida Trail Association, which is also based in Gainesville. We serve hikers in Marion, Alachua, Gilchrist, and Levy Counties, and build and maintain portions of the Florida Trail along the Cross Florida Greenway, at Lake Butler Forest, in the Ocala National Forest, and along the Suwannee River.

Chapter activities are posted under the Activities category of this website. You are always welcome to join us on a chapter outing, be it a hike or paddling trip or ranger-led expedition. Contact the activity leader to let them know you plan to attend.
