FLORIDA CRACKER CHAPTER
CALL FOR CHAPTER CHAIR
The Florida Cracker Chapter is in need of filling its Chapter Chair position. The position is an elected position that runs for 2 years with no limit to number of consecutive terms. The job duties are asfollows:
1. Preside at chapter meetings (10 mtgs/yr - 2 of which are social gatherings, December & May).
2. Appoint Committee Chairs with assistance from Chapter Executive Committee.
3. Serve as liaison between the Florida Trail Association and the Florida Crackers Chapter.
4. Receive and act upon mail from the Florida Trail Association office.
5. Receive and act upon requests for information, public events, conference participation, etc. with assistance from the Chapter Executive Committee.
6. Submit brief “Chair’s Corner” to Chapter newsletter.
7. Call Chapter Executive Committee meetings once each quarter and whenever deemed necessary.
8. The Chapter Chair shall be elected for a term of two years by a plurality vote of the members present at the April meeting in the odd numbered years, and shall take office at the conclusion of that meeting.
The Florida Cracker chapter has an active and responsive Executive Committee but has been unable to find a willing replacement for its outgoing leader. If you’re good at leading others and are interested in getting more involved with the Florida Trail Association, this is your opportunity to become a fundamental part of the organization.
