Our recent Chapter meeting was both educational and entertaining, as we not only learned how to identify butterflies we may encounter

while hiking, but also enjoyed a competitive game of “Butterfly Bingo”. Kathy Malone, formerly the coordinator of Project Butterfly

Wings at the University of Florida, helped everyone become expert lepidopterists (butterfly folk) and then tested their knowledge during

the game. Prizes were given out to a select few that mastered the science or just happened to have a lucky bingo card with the

right butterflies. 

This was our second meeting held at Brasington’s Adventure Outfitters, and we thank Bob Ackerman for providing his store for us to

meet in and the refreshments for our “eating society with a hiking disorder”. For those with a “shopping disorder”, you will be glad to
